Our 2019 Round Up! 

Despite the uncertainty of the UK economy and construction market, PSH is proud to report that we have delivered one of our strongest year’s to date with significant revenue growth on 2018 and a number of projects both completed and in the pipeline.

At the start of the year we introduced our very own in-house Energy & Sustainability team led by Jennifer Pugh, and have since successfully delivered energy statements and BREEAM assessments on planning submissions for the following projects:

An Update on PSH

On August 5th we moved to our new London offices on Stamford Street, Southwark and have made numerous visits to the 3pm beer taps already!

Wins & Completions

Hotels & Hospitality

Our Hotels & Hospitality Sector continues to grow steadily with recent planning submissions successfully submitted for Quay House, Canary Wharf where we worked with Rockwell Properties to deliver the MEP Design, Energy Statement, BREEAM Pre-assessment & Sustainability Statement

The proposed 40-storey scheme (nicknamed the “Pebble”) includes a 400-bed hotel, 279 serviced apartments, gym, restaurant and cafe, while the area underneath the nearby DLR track is also set to be redeveloped into a landscaped public area.

Kensington Forum gained planning approval for which we delivered the MEP design and Energy Statement for Queensgate Investments & Rockwell Properties.

The proposed scheme includes the demolition of an existing c.1,000 bed hotel, followed by the construction of a new 30-storey (plus two basement storeys), 749 bed 5-star hotel, 340 serviced apartments and 46 residential units.

Brook House, Hammersmith gained planning approval for which we delivered the MEP design, Energy Statement & BREEAM pre-assessment for Legal & General.

Brook House is currently an office building that will be converted into a 189 bedroom Premier Inn Hotel, with Bar + Block Steakhouse restaurant and 3rd party retail offering.

Significant works are required to convert this building from an office into a hotel. To read more about this project click here.

Mama Shelter, Shoreditch completed in August 2019. We were appointed by Crosstree Real Estate Partners as MEP Consulting Engineers for the refurbishment of this 178 bedroom hotel, in the trendy London area of Shoreditch.

The rebrand and refurbishment included bedrooms and corridors from the first to fourth floors as well as the entire ground and basement levels which are being redesigned to reflect the ‘funky’ Mama Shelter brand.

Residential

Our Residential team has been focussed on delivering projects that we successfully won earlier this year, including St William’s Watford Gas Works, where all stage 4 works have been successfully completed and construction has just started on-site at a disused Gas Works site in Hertfordshire.

Commercial

We’re pleased to announce that our commercial team has successfully completed all MEP works for the refurbishment of an existing office space at a high-profile Tech Company in Reading. For more information about the project, click here. 

Staff Update

We are excited to have Ivana Rusnakova rejoin the team in October having been on maternity leave for the past 12 months.

We would also like to congratulate Ed Morris on his participation in the MacMillan Cancer Golf Day which raised over £1,300 and took place over a staggering took 14 hours including the playing of 72 holes!

Looking Ahead

As we enter into the final three months of the calendar year we remain optimistic about what’s ahead of us, both as a company and an economy.

The PSH team, including Director Andrew Haskins, Senior Sustainability Consultant Jennifer Pugh and Principal Mechanical Engineer Ed Morris will be attending the Annual Hotel Conference in Manchester on 9th – 10th  October.
