As part of a regeneration project in Woking, PSH was appointed on the refurbishment of an existing 8-storey office block with retail and residential units, located adjacent to Working railway station.

There were a number of challenges as the existing building floor plates and structural constraints were not designed for today’s modern MEP infrastructures. The building needed to be stripped back to shell with new external cladding and interior fit-out.

Works included the installation of new smoke extract systems, life safety systems and firefighters’ lifts, as well as services diversion routes for the new retail and residential units.
