PSH was appointed as the MEP consulting engineers for the new build Kensington Forum mixed-use development, located on the Cromwell Road in Kensington, London.

The scheme includes the demolition of an existing c.1,000 bed hotel, followed by the construction of a new 30-storey (plus three basement storeys), 749 bed 5-star hotel, 340 serviced apartments and 46 residential units.

The development also includes substantial amenity spaces including an expansive ballroom, conference facilities and multiple kitchens and speciality restaurants.

The local planning authority stipulate stringent planning requirements in this area, including a commitment to a 35% reduction in C0₂ savings. This is being achieved via the use of a communal energy centre located at basement level and a 55kWp PV array located on the roof of two of the three buildings.
