This project involved a major extension to the existing library at the National University of Ireland, Galway, including a basement archive facility for the storage of historic documents.
Our scope of works included full on-site coordination of all electrical, mechanical and public health systems.
The project was designed to achieve a BREEAM 'Very Good' rating and incorporated a range of sustainable measures, including external LED lighting and internal low energy lighting, lighting control systems (including presence detection and daylight dimming), and rain water harvesting system. The infrastructure also provided for future connection of Combined Heat & Power (CHP).
