This five star landmark hotel underwent extensive renovations between 2014-15, reinstating rooms and suites to their original Regency splendour while at the same time integrating the latest IT technologies.

Our role in the project included undertaking a full detailed survey of existing M&E services (little information was available) and then providing a full M&E design.

This required predominantly new MEP systems throughout and required us to work very closely with the interior designers Alberto Pinto of France to achieve a fully serviced building without affecting the overall Regency look. Examples of this challenge included the need to design air conditioning units to fit bespoke antique furniture, and ensure all CCTV/fire alarms and wifi were disguised but still functional.

Forbes Travel Guide awarded The Lanesborough Hotel 5 stars in 2016, stating “The Lanesborough was luxurious before the redesign, but now it’s a veritable feast for the senses. Technology is subtly embedded in each of the 93 bedrooms and suites at the Lanesborough, so while the décor is traditional, the guest experience is thoroughly up-to-date. Each room is equipped with two tablets — one that controls air conditioning, lets you order room service, etc. and one for surfing the web. On-demand movies and Wi-Fi come standard and every room has a printer, a scanner and a range of international plug sockets so both business and leisure travellers have all their needs met.”
